The 7th Animal Collective record is everything you would hope from the torchbearers of the “New Weird”. Freaky multilayered guitars and electronics, heavy percussive goodness, and pop vocal beauty. “Feels” is more upbeat and glorious sounding than the other AC records. Pop vocal chanting recalling Beach Boy “Pet Sounds” brilliance. Great changes and shifts with lots of melodic hooks and beats that make you wanna shake your freak thang. 7**(7:34) Ultra mystical mellow song. An AC trademark fluttery guitar and tweekyness. Beautiful and moving. (I recommend playing through to the next track as well)
