The Bawd Of Euphony

Mount Eerie is Phil Elverum and what used to be The Microphones (K records, Know-Yr-Own). Singers find Phil doing what he loves, bringing large vocal ensembles to sing along to his catchy, moody, and beautifully pure songs. If you ever have seen him live you’ll know he often has the audience sing repeated lines as he sings over top. This record takes that idea into the studio. Largely different songs from his other recorded released this year (No Flashlight), Singers is rougher and more “live” feeling. If you’re already a fan this record will be a treat, if you have yet to discover Phil’s wonderful world then this is a great place to start. There is moodiness, fun and insanity all for the taking here. Enjoy!
