A perfect melding of noise rock, synth, angular post-punk, art-wave, no-wave, art rock and ?? Destined to be a KZSU fave, this band rubs all the right nerves, hits all cylinders. Female vocals/vocalizations, buzz bass/synth bass, dischordant Sonic Youth guitar, pounding drums, intense, but listenable and accessable. Delving into a ton of great influences, all super bent and challenging. Man, its made to order, with a really well-done cover of an MX-80 Sound song to boot. Fantastic, all tracks great!
1) ~1min acous guit intro then blindsided by fuzz bass rockin w/ minimal female vocalizations
2) bombastic disjunct angular intense and all over the map, epic
3) urgent beat, minimal female vocs
4) wow, like a post-punk art-wave beat and percussion sense, cool guitar tones to the max
5) nice outdoor samples, then buzzy bass/synth gives this urgent driving piece an electro noise feel
6) urgent bass driven, evolves nicely with cool slide guitar
7) veritable bashout with woman screams
8) tribal beat, dark and buzzy and messy, gets a no-wave feel sorta and devolves
9) intense beat turns slow pounding, woman sings a lot, devolves in middle then picks up dissonant as hell, noise synth and Chrome’ish guitar
10) ahh, beautiful noise guitar as intro to driving intensity
11) oh fuck, a cool as hell MX-80 Sound cover “hello America…microbe man is what I am”…
12) driving almost proggy, I get the MX-80 notion now
