Trumpet/piano/drums trio showing off some of the more free, open playing that highlighted Rava's earlier ECM career. Tracks have that floaty, dreamy quality, very easy on the ears, but the group often ventures into untethered group improvisation. Some of the later tracks pick up the pace and get downright bouncing (7,10); earlier tracks tend to be pretty and soft. Nice wintry feel throughout.
