Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2005-12-11
Noise. Local artists, locally produced, all sounds very live, organic and a million miles from the avante realm of, say, Mills. Experimentalists you might find using power generators in a garbage strewn lot next to the bay in Hunters Point. Almost all tracks uncharacteristically radio friendly brief for the attention span deficient.

1) higher pitched tones, droning, very live bar feel, low fi screaming
2) da da yelling/spoken smacks of insane poetry reading with noise soundbed
3) swirling noise effects, microphone treatments, nice stereo imaging, grows dense and layered
4) noisier more heavy old school overdriven organic
5) again woman “reading” with onslaught of electrotreated noise
6) live feedbacky, spastic treated tones, lovely drones, all overdriven into a pasty mud mask for your brain
7) pretty drones, bursts, dens
8) screaming woman, bashout feel
9) sparse mechanical toylike feel start evolves into industrial toned live creepfest
10) low fi layers, sci fi dense, brief
11) more subdued creepiness, this one is slower to build, longer, a great late night nightmare track
