Album Review
Wicked Child
Reviewed 2006-02-17
Folk-influenced indie rock. Mostly acoustic instrumentation, male+female harmonies throughout. Most tracks take a nice turn in the last minute with more lush instrumentation. Sounds a bit like the slower Broken Social Scene ballads. You can hear a bit of Death Cab mixed in too. All the songs sound pretty similar. FCC Clean. Picks: 1, 3.

**1. Driving acoustic rock. Broken Social Scene-esque whiskey throated male singer with female harmonies.
2. Slower. Strings, very high electric guitar. Last minute is very pretty.
**3. Female vocals more dominant, soothing instrumentation.
4. Acoustic guitar (tinny sound), harmony vocals. Doesn't do much.
5. Reaching female vocals, acoustic guitar. Catchy melody, but repetitive lyrics.
6. Mournful, most minimal instrumentation on this album. Female vox stand on their own. Very folky.
