Straight jazz trio of veterans from different decades: Donald Harrison (sax), Ron Carter (bass), and Billy Cobham (drums). Harrison is the youngster at 44 and the obvious lead voice. He plays with a light airy feel. Carter throws in some fun bass solos full of double-stops (i.e. chords) (1,2,5). Overall upbeat and mostly fast. Live recording.
- Easygoing mid/fast standard, w/cool bass solo.
- Jaunty piece, stiff mid/fast beat.
- Languid midtempo, bluesy. Starts light and open. Ends with intro to next song; fade before that happens!
- Mid/fast, spirited standard. Drum solos.
- Light, like a fast ballad. Gets hard-digging and fast later.
- Mid/fast original. Drum solo.
- A celebratory blues to close out the show.
