Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2006-01-05
This is sparsely played dissonant detuned solo dobro or dobro sounding acoustic guitar. A mix between peaceful and jarring, this would sound to most people like their little brother slowly banging on an untuned guitar with an empty beer bottle. At long play it is quite hypnotic soothing and qualifies as experimental art. Be that as it may, it really does sound like someone laying on their back on a couch with the lights off, detuned martin in lap, bottle neck slide in one hand and spastic fingers in the other, slowly, veerrrry slowly making sounds with the guitar in the dark. And that’s a good thing as you might gather. All tracks sound alike for the most part, pick any.
