She’s the lead singer of Capercaillie, and has a voice like velvet. Acoustic traditional and contemporary songs in both English and Gaelic, backed by guest such as Donal Lunny and Donald Shaw (also from Capercaillie). I loved it all – you can play any track and not go wrong. It’s quiet and not at all flashy, but so beautiful. Why can’t I sing like that? *1. Slow, delicate, sad. Absolutely gorgeous. 2. Midtempo & jazzy then upbeat & kinda bluegrassy. Fun! *3. Deliciously sweet, nostalgic ballad. Nice pipes too. 4. Slow pop folk w/lots of strings. *5. Light w/tripping fast vocals, then catchy mid/uptempo jam. 6. Lazy and sweet blend of vocals/strings. Very pretty. *7. Nice perc driving this mid/uptempo dance. Cool sound. 8. Sweet, delicate love song. *9. Nicely toe-tapping w/cool vocals. Gets faster. 10. Midtempo w/banjo accents & violins. 11. Heartbreaking ballad. Slow, sad, so beautiful. I need a tissue. | ||
