Reissue of recordings made by Brotzmann and Bennink in the Black Forest of Germany. The music was all made outside and incorporates the natural setting into the improvisations. The result is a very subdued, earthy sound replete with bird calls, rain, branches and of course shrieking saxophones. The sound takes some getting used to, but this is definitely an interesting album.

Some highlights:
d1 t3 – Percussive patter with fluttering sax
d1 t10 – Rushing water with gurgling clarinets
d2 t3 – Cool percussion from branches
d2 t10 – Low clarinet duet, ends with a weird version of “Sentimental Journey”
