Accessible free jazz with sax, viola (or 2nd sax), and drums, an Austin-based band that's been together for 10 years. Songs tend toward tuneful leads with solos that walk the free edge. Nice group dynamics; things get going when the whole group "solos" at once (or on 5, when the sax & viola take over sans drums).

Tracks 4 and especially 7 are accessible; 1 and 3 sort of are. Tracks 2 and 6 are the "experimental" ones.

1- Brisk, upbeat. Not too busy.
2- Slower overall, although it's got fast segments. Viola solo lends a serious air.
3- Delicate chamber music with jazzy tones, a faux highbrow feel, quite European. Gets into understated but busy group improv.
4- Mid/fast happy step, into relaxed two-sax doodling
5- Pleasant descending scale, a chamber feel. Gets into furious free sax-viola duet
6- Squeaky burbling feel, low-key chaos.
7- Bright and swingy, a strong mid/fast. Catchy.
