Sax-bass-drums trio: Lots of freedom but easy on the ears. Nicely wandering pieces with a mainstream feel but an open structure due to the lack of chord instruments. Rick Mandyck leads on sax, sometimes burning it up (2,5), but often going for a laid-back but complex wandering. Most of the energy gets infused by Bishop on drums, who keeps things crisp even during the more casual sauntering. This trio is based in Seattle and has played a weekly gig for 8 years.

Interesting note: Mandyck has to give up the sax due to health problems. But the trio lives on, with Mandyck playing guitar.

- Warm, midtempo, mellow
- Mid/fast, some nice sax twists early on
- Deep mood, relatively soft and quiet but not slow
- Grand midtempo proclamations
- Mid/fast, perky, with loping bass. Decent drum solo.
- Mid/fast, nicely relaxed, long bass intro
- Brewing-storm intro into pleasant jam that gets cooking. Slows to a stop before launching a drum solo.
- Slow, melodic, owes a bit to "Inchworm." Gets a bit more fiery during the sax solo.
- Mostly bass: mid/fast and a bit sad
