Album Review
The Bawd Of Euphony
Reviewed 2006-02-28
Compulsive home recorder and local troubadour Kelley Stoltz has finally gotten the recognition he well deserves, a record on Sub Pop. Has this changed his vision or altered is creative libo? Not even close. Instead Kelley has given us a masterful collection of pop gems and mild psychedelia that tops all his other outputs to date. At times Kelley recalls the most brilliant moments of John Lennon wielding beautiful melodies with creative arrangements. Sometimes Kelley sings very soft and subtle, other times he like a young writhing Elvis strutting his stuff with R&B hits. He is a master of creating a vibe with his songs and each of them creates stories all to themselves. This record just sounds fucking great, each song offers something different and equally rewarding. Play This. -tHE bAWD oF euphony
