Album Review

Straight-up guitar-driven pop-rock. Slick, catchy, and mostly upbeat. U2 and the Pixies with swirls of 90s Brit-pop and shoegaze. Fun for the ears but way too easy, predictable and popy. Bad lyrics (I mean "exploding teenage body part"... isn't that the worst CD title you've ever heard?).
Play 6, 1, 2, 3.
1. Power pop-ish. Rocking. Good.
2. This sounds dangerously like the Pixies.
3. Infectious and catchy. Good composition. Dumb lyrics and vocals.
4. Shoegaze. Late 80s, early 90s Brit pop.
5. Throwaway song. Not much happening here. Slow, beat-less, vapid.
6. Nice bass line and sound, and cool guitar riffs. Abstract and spastic. This is by far the most original and creative tune in this CD.
7. Pop-punky. Bubblegumish.
8. Med-slow syrupy/sensitive. Shoegaze.
9. Jungly and breathy in that U2 kind of way.
