Indian Classical sound influenced by Rock & Funk from the nephew of Ravi Shankar, sitar teacher for Jimi Hendrix. The Asian Underground movement revived interest in his recordings. He passed away in 1999. CD #1 1: 3: 34 Fast funky guitar, tabla and soaring violins 2: 5:21 fast guitar w/ tremolo? Flute, rock sitar Moog, big drum set fast minimal tabla . @ 3:40 slower than back up to full speed with sitar & fem chorus. 3: 4:35 keyboard Moog & sitar 4: 3: 03slower flute intro., mid tempo, with fem chorus. 5: 4:05 almost spy thiller intro., pounding percussion, some unusual sounds. 6: 4:06 percussion,Moog, violins minimal funky wah wah guitar, galloping tablas. 7: 4:37 Moog, keyboards,big drum kit, fast funk guitar & moog. 8: 5:17 appropriately named "Storm" , slow & low intro., bird chirps,,thunder,sitar & perc.,violins, flute & fast tabla. 9: 4:23 slower sitar,rock/funk guitar, Big sound. 10: 2:41 mid tempo, flute, sitar fem voc/wail 11: 4: 04 slower dreamy could be nice soundbed D Farrell 03/2006 CD#2 1: 5:58 mid to fast tempo sitar & other strings picking, big percussion, tabla. 2: 5:35 mid tempo sitar & tabla with big background sound nice flute. 3: 4:31 sitar sounding a bit like a banjo???, a dulcimer??
