Album Review

Blistery instrumental single by seminal and now reunited post-punkers. A few years ago, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth brought these obscure Philly post-punkers (ca 1978) to the light of indie publicity. This is brand new and picks up from where exactly these punkers left it 30 years ago. Their sound is a distinct concoction of blistery drumming and thick guitars which have that metallc dissonant/angular post-punk edge that can only be compared to the great works of Glenn Branca. Dig track #1. The shit’s so freaking good!!! Play, play, play.

1. Frenetic drumming and some amazing guitar work dancing between a thick wall of cold sonic noise and blissful texturing of dissonance. Very symphonic and epic. This puts a smile on Glenn Branca’s face. I can see it as I am listening.

2. More spacey-bouncy jam. March vs. groove and lots of dissonance and angularity thrown in between. I fancy track 1 more than this.
