Another steely prog-fusion excursion featuring Percy Jones (ex- Brand X) on sinewy, burbly electric bass; Marc Wagnon on MIDI vibes (producing all sorts of synthy sounds) and ... a drummer John O'Reilly (a new name, to me anyway.) A darker, more subdued sound than on the previous Tunnels CDs -- which is good; this sort of thing can end up sounding monochromatic in large doses. You'll find lots of virtuoso bursts of notes, particularly from Jones on bass, and twisty prog-like themes. | ||
