Solo voice/acoustic guitar release from “the First Lady of Bossa Nova.” It’s delicious, delicate, low key, and quiet. Since it’s just her voice & a guitar throughout, there’s a very intimate feel to all tracks. Like a female Joao Gilberto, she has a rich, jazzy voice and a sophisticated, playful style. It all sounds alike: soft, slow bossa, but with that crystal-clear voice it’s all so good. Especially: 2. Slow & lovely Jobim/ de Moraes composition. 3. Sweet, romantic, downtempo love song. Sigh…. 4. Extra soft w/warm vox & gentle guitar. 7. A nice touch of nostalgic love. 8. A touch of huskiness to her voice on this one. 9. Good guitar work & just a bit more bouncy. Nice. 10. Relaxed and relaxing. Nice blend of guitar & vox. 14. A sweet little la-la w/good guitar & vocals. 15. Bight & more midtempo. Sweet & catchy. | ||
