Very pleasant roots rock Reggae from Colorado. Nothing earthshaking, but good solid playing and production, nice vocals, good messages (sometimes a BIT preachy, but his heart is in the right place)… All the shorter songs are handdrum syncopation (track 13 also has singing, but no other instrumentation).
No FCCs. Track 11 is classic dub stylee, very cool.
1. 3:58 *chill intro, spare midtempo roots reggae, then full sound with horns, syndrum, pleasant vocals.
2. 4:56 **midtempo skank with a touch of Latin and a touch of ska, bouncy lyrics.
3. 4:49 *somewhat uptempo skank with a bit of electronics
4. 3:36 midtempo, sweet and sad, bit of spoken word in middle then somewhat dubby end.
5. 1:41 **nice bit of handdrum syncopation, cool wiggly bounce. Too short!
6. 4:59 **slow ska (there’s a conundrum!) version of Armagiddeon Time with emphasis on horns, vocals.
7. 3:26 *midtempo skank with a bit of electric guitar
8. 0:52 *more cool handdrums. Just the right length for a PSA!
9. 4:18 *slow bubble, pretty love song.
10. 4:19 **dubbitydubbitydub version of track 2. Excessive echo on vocals, but fun.
11. 2:41 ***dub of track 4 – this is nice. Old school!
12. 1:43 glory be, it’s more handdrums! Fades to silence for last half minute.
13. 1:00 handdrums and chanting/singing.
