Music you will hear in downtown Tehran today: traditional classical, folk and rock. The liner notes are very informative.
1: 3: 28 bowed strings, male vocal, fast. High energy. Cool sounds, rock oriented
2: 4:12 fast percussion, male vocals, fast hammered strings, traditional but fast.
3: 7:40 slow haunting vocal/wail, duduk maestro Djivan Gasparyan
***4: 2:06 low level but GREAT percussion, Instrumental
5: 3:30 slow & low plucked strings & fem vocal/wail, slow but beautiful sound.
**6: 2:04 breathy reed flute (ney) instrumental
7: 3:47 slow & low plucked strings minimal vocal
***8: 5:55 great plucked & bowed strings, slow and very nice
**9: 5:15 male vocal/wail with gentle guitar & far out double flute
