Track 1 is hotter than anything else on here! Instr. Early 50s pop sample from China? Slow, lazy, shuffly beat accompanied by bass to outline the chord resolutions.

Funk/Jazz/Hip-Hop/World. Quantic is Will Holland, a prolific producer from Brighton, UK in his mid-20’s. This is not really a dance album (I would probably classify it as World), but has a good funky feel. This album has less energy than the previous release from Quantic “Mishaps Happening”, and a more traditional/organic sound.
Favorites in order: ***(9), (7), (5), (3)
FCC CLEAN.
(1) Old timey, low key jazz complete with crackles. Mostly instrumental, strings.
(2) Midtempo instrumental jazz with slightly latin flavor.
* (3) Hip-Hop.
(4) Midtempo instrumental jazz featuring horns. Slightly darker feel.
* (5) Uptempo. A thoroughly latin track that harks back to the “Mishaps Happening” days. Horns and female vocals. A good top-40 sound with “politically correct” lyrics.
(6) Midtempo instrumental. Lounge music.
** (7) Horns, an infectious latin track with male vocals and a thumping beat. A very cool solo in the middle.
(8) Hip-hop with backing jazz melody.
***(9) Yum-yum!! Such a good track! Jazz blended with a super cool breakbeat, cow bells and synths. Instrumental.
