Downtempo electronica/glitch-hop from British solo artist. Ochre is back with his signature dreamy ambience, full of shimmering electronics and warm melodies. This new album, however, is less ethereal and "crystalline" than Ochre's debut album (A Midsummer Nice Dream). Harp strums, swelling strings, and murky ambience all give this album a more organic, fairy-tale feel. I imagine this as an apt soundtrack for a deep forest grove full of magical creatures. Play with Secret Frequency Crew, Boards of Canada, Tim Koch, Bola.|
Lovely, accessible, yet still intricate stuff. Highly recommended!
Make sure to check out his debut album too – we have it in the library.

**1. Lullaby on an alien world. Clank-y beat and thick ambience drop into lush strings melody. Lovely! (7:48)
*2. Rolling beat, deep drones. Sometimes soaring, sometimes ominous. Soundtrack for a primordial world? (6:04)
*3. Muffled ambience grows into cute melodies and ill downtempo IDM groove. (6:39)
**4. Messy, light-hearted electronic romp. Later, drop-dead gorgeous interlude of harp arpeggios over strings, wow! (6:11)
5. Crunchy beat, strong bass, quiet videogame-ish melodies. Mysterious. (5:52)
6. Nebulous electronic ambience, unintelligible computerized voices, sharp beat. Lost inside of a computer? (4:54)
**7. Beautiful ambient wash. Strings, soaring melody, wobbling bass. (3:59)
8. Trippy ambient interlude. Strikingly like Boards of Canada. (2:08)
**9. Slow drum-beat. Piano and strings play wistfully over acid electronics.
Aphex Twin meets Jean Luc Ponty meets trip hop. This is fucking great! (7:55)
**10. Oh shit! Ultra-catchy, intricate groove: hip-hop beat, heavy bass, shimmering electronics, chill ambience. Fucking tight!!! (5:45)
