Did these guys count as "alternative?" They're back, in any event, with chunky, hard-driven guitars that mix the better aspects of fuzzed-out psych, a touch of (good) Southern rock, a cynical urban viewpoint, convincingly screaming vocals, and sometimes overly intellectual lyrics. Good rock-out stuff. Makes me think of Sleater-Kinney's "The Woods," but maybe that's just because the covers' color schemes are similar.

- Heavy mid/fast but still pop at its core, menacing but catchy
- Mid/fast, stomping feel
- Midtempo; big expansive feel
- Mid/fast; the slightly despairing feel of a Western movie
- Fast, with a poppy synth break
- Midtempo. Thick hard psych.
- Fast instrumental, great stuff
- Midtempo, like a weighted down pop/soul
- *FCC* "shit" early on. Mid/fast, a nice rocker
- Slowish psych, fuzzy and echoey
- *FCC* "shit" early on, "bullshit" twice after the solo .... Mid/fast, nice drive, awkward lyrics. Surprise horns and a free-jazzy ending.
