Unique urban confessional folk. Sophisticated/difficult harmonies and interplay between melody and guitar. Vox is condenser mic'd, distinctive delivery, with lots of exaggerated slides, compare to a folk-Tony Bennett?!?! Lyrics are poetically cryptic, literary, and wordy (he manages mostly). There is a strong jazz influence on the chords and the singing style. Times it sounds off, and others really genius. Don't judge quickly. FCC clean. Picks 3,4,5,9,11,1,2.
