Album Review

Understated lo-fi indie folk. A touch of bluegrass and nautical undertones give this soft album a down-home, nostalgic feel. Rootsy upright bass and folk instrumentation amble along through the overdriven tape recordings for a smoothed-out, low energy throughout. See also Korby Lenker, Richard Swift, Wovenhand
FCC Clean. Play anything, but my picks are 11, 6, 3, 8

1. 1:29 Brief, charging folk anthem
2. 1:23 Singer/songwriter, pretty finger-picked guitar
*3. 1:49 Fun madolin oom-bak ditty
4. 2:55 Hushed singer/songwriter ballad
5. 1:52 Bass-heavy, simple melody, nondescript
**6. 2:26 Plodding verses with an upbeat, sweeping refrain. Hopeful.
7. 2:17 Wandering folk. Pretty mixed vox. A trifle poppy.
*8. 2:09 Cool, quirky sound with nice melodic arrangement of instrumentation
9. 2:15 Catchy, wandering singer/songwriter
10. 2:03 Upbeat folk ballad
**11. 3:01 Simple, catchy folk/spiritual hymn-a-long
12. 2:18 Simple, pleading singer/songwriter waltz
