Paul Flaherty - Whirl of Nothingness

Raw, emotional solo sax session. Flaherty intersperses melodic elements with fiery free wailing for a powerful statement of despair and hopelessness.

*1. Tenor sax sounds like it's struggling with demons
2. Calmer start, but becomes more aggressive
*3. Simple melody becomes wilder
4. Piercing wail to start, gradually gets calmer
*5. Soaring alto
6. Calm passages interrupted by tortured shrieks
7. Sax devolves into bits of sound, grunts, screams
8. Starts loud, then fades
