You know, you really can’t go wrong with a Putumayo compilation. This one from the wine lands features a typically tasty selection of artists working in a wide variety of styles. Something for everyone, without a bad vintage in the bunch, most as relaxed & gentle as a good Pinot Grigio. Close your eyes & pick a track.

1. Hip midtempo folksy chanson w/a catchy melody & sexy fem vox.
2. Retro rock w/a hint of Argentine surfer. Midtempo & kitschy cool.
3. Relaxed Cuban-inspired cha-cha. Horns, fem vox, perc. Smooth...
4. Surprisingly bouncy fado w/male vox/accordion/guitar.
5. Fun blend of jazz & bluegrass, a too-short instrumental.
6. Light & dishy vocals in a sweet, midtempo bossa nova.
7. Rough male vox in a sadly romantic, downtempo love song.
8. Husky fem vox, downtempo Greek taverna drama piece.
9. Relaxed, gentle w/warm fem vox, soft strings. Lightly jazzy.
10. Soft male vox & guitar, lazy & lowkey. Folksy.
11. Light electronics, sexy fem vox, a relaxed & sleepy groove.
12. Sweetly fluid guitar-led instrumental, mostly midtempo.
13. Guitar, cool fem vox. Lazily hip midtempo jazz.
