Soft, competent A.C. pop noir with super-smooth female vox. Standard instrumentation and straightforward pop arrangements make for a pleasant, if wholly unchallenging, listen. Subtle elements of electronica throughout, mostly in gentle swells and light tapping percussion.
See also: Over The Rhine, Hem, Plumb, Sixpence None The Richer, or basically any other soft female-fronted A.C. pop.
FCC Clean. Pick: 3, though all four tracks are very similar.
1. 3:57 Mid/low energy. Road-trip folk pop sound.
2. 4:50 Low energy. Nice rhodes and swirling atmospheric tones.
* 3. 4:38 Very low energy. Light electronic beat and a floating melody.
4. 4:17 Low energy. Acoustic guitars mixed with electronic swells. Mainstream radio sound. Drags a bit. 10-sec fade out.
