A mixtape of Sayyid ripping, mixed by DJ Raedawn. Half of the tracks are his own beats. Sayyid as a rapper, well, raps with the hunger of Papoose, the cleverness of Jay Z, the kookiness of Kool Keith, , the wordiness/hipster self-awareness of Anticon. He can also rap using many different rhythms. His beats are very synthy, angular, futuristic bloopy, anti-pop consortium, and he really likes to experiment and take chances. The other beats...well, are varied. (Kanye West, Rick Rock, Flipmode, Doctor Dre, Timbaland). FCCs everywhere. I think I found them all. Picks 11,7,15,2,6,3,5,10,13/14. 1-(0:29) Instr. Twilight Zone/Soundtrack to 50s murder flick. 2-(1:06) Beat has a space age slap. FCC "fuck"s "shit"s. Sayyid rides the beat. 3-(1:26) Slow, future bleeps. Angry raps. FCC "motherfucker", "fuck". 4-(2:20) 80s cowbell, and low synth fart. 8-bit interludes. FCC "fuck" 5-(1:31) Beach boy sample. Trippy skit with him talking Dr. Seuss style. Lots of FCC "fuck"s. 6-(3:41) The slow TV 70s soul/r&b "We Major" beat courtesy of Kanye West. Intense rap. "motherfucker". 7-(2:32) Intro by a French dude. Timbo beat sounds a bit like the quiet parts of Grindin, but minus Pharrell. Raps about his style, consumption habits and musical trends.FCC "shit". flows into 8. 8-(2:21) Dre beat. Fast machine like flow. FCC "fuck". 9-(2:31) "epic" Green Lantern beat. Wordy flow. Eh. 10-(2:32) Slow story rap. Sayyid doubles his voice with a screwed version his voice. (intentionally?) bad. 13-(0:29) Loop of E40 going hyphy. Bleeds into next track... 14-(0:51) where the beat continues to loop and Sayyid tells a horror story. FCC "motherfucker", "fuck". 15-(2:42) The Pacman beat. A game show - "Save Your Black Ass"! The contestants have to rap about how they'd deal with a sticky situation.
