Bop-related jazz trio (sax/bass/drums), with some free-jazz moments. Bright and cool. Composing has modern touches (it's mostly not your '50s straight bebop) but should be pleasing to mainstream-jazz ears. Robinson also has abstract free-improv cred and has played in some nice free-jazz groups including Cosmologic.
- Fairly straight stuff, great fast soloing space
- Upbeat mid/fast, herky-jerky theme. Buzzy sax solo opens.
- Midtempo strolling
- Easygoing mid/fast, with a couple of solid sax solos. Very quiet start. Title refers to the Community Music Center in San Francisco.
- Slow. Gets rather disjoint
- Floaty wandering
- Soaring intro, into nice mid/fast groove
- Airy theme and strong, intense soloing, mid/fast. Bass solo intro.
- Midtempo
- Mid/fast straight feel, upbeat with a nice edge
