Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2006-10-16
Walls of hypnotic layered noise. Truly remarkable. Sounds like 4 or 5 stacks of Marshall amps with 4 or 5 completely hypnotized artists exploring the realms of total feedback/sustain, pushing the limits of tube amp technology. No human vocals. Subtley intricate and lush, with tiny melodies interwoven and moments of clarity amongst the confusion. Nine tracks that blend seamlessly giving the cd a “recorded live” feel. For fans of Sunn, Merzbow, NON, Wolf Eyes, Hunting Lodge, Einsturzende Neubauten. All tracks very similar, pick any, or better yet, play all.
