New wave minimalist electro-twee psychedelic dance pop. ;) Girl-group female vocals--double-tracked, reverby, and dreamy. Guitars, synths & organ, synthetic & real drums, and bit of piano (track 11). 1. '80s new-wave synth + Insistent drum & power guitars. Starts with synth drums. Fades with echoey guitars.
2. Psychedelic ostinato-raga-flavored pop (almost like Spacemen 3). Instrumental for first two minutes. "It's time to forget all you've learned." Starts with single-note synth and synth percussion. Ends with extended single-note synth then quick fade.
==> 3. Hypnotic/psychedelic twee synth pop. '60s feel/arrangement with '80s new wave instrumentation. "Wanna make myself look so sick you don't wanna see me no more." Starts with slightly weird synth percussion and repetitive two-note guitar figure. Ends with guitar strum and quick fade.
4. Minimal new wave synth pop. "Boys will be boys and girls will be girls." Starts with repetitive, discordant synth chords. Ends cold, sort of continuous with next song.
5. New wave folk-pop ballad. Starts with guitar strumming and quiet noisy synth. Guitar remains prominent. Ends cold after a brief a cappella verse.
==> 6. Anthemic lo-fi dance rock. Real drums, power guitars, and organ. Lead guitar a bit reminiscent of Tom Verlaine. Starts with full band. Fades, but cuts off (goes into next song).
7. Mostly sounds like The Bats but starts off sounding like VU's "Walk On the Wild Side." Starts with guitar. Ends with extended organ note, fades quickly.
8. Sparse, percussionless ballad. Starts (and continues with) plinky synth, sort of like "tick tock tick tock." Fades.
==> 9. Minor key VU-ish ballad. Starts with synth drums. Fades.
10. Minor key dance pop. "I heard you say that you want something more than this." A bit of synth Glockenspiel sounds like The Icicles for a second. Starts with four (heavily reverbed) percussion taps. Fades on guitar noise, then fades into next song.
11. Slow piano lullaby with continuous synth organ chord (sounding almost like bagpipes). Starts with fade-in on synth chord, then piano. Fades.
