Girly house alert. For those who like the deep & sexy gear, this is for you. For the rest of us, well….hmmm. Top notch production quality. FYI this is mostly a cover album, including a Marley tune.

When I was younger, my friends and I had a term for sappy R&B songs by groups like Shai, Jodeci, All-4-One, etc. We called them “Break Of Dawn” songs because every song repeated the lyrics: “till the break of dawn, girl…” and “all the through the night, baby…” Well, the torch has been passed to Jody Watley, and she is running with it. All through the night.

Track 2: It takes Jody exactly 1 minute 50 seconds before she drops the first “all through the night.”

Track 7: Chillout love song, sounds like something from the Naked Music stables.

Track 9: Another chillout piano ballad in the “I long to be close to you” category
*Track 10: Feisty R&B tune with hip hop interlude, a la Black Eyed Peas. Clever rhymes and nice a departure from the rest of the album.
Track 11: Downtempo deep house, no FCC but the word “bitch” abounds
Track 12: Hard techno! Just kidding, more deep house.
**Track13: BEST track on the album. Dub mix, atmospheric with just enough edge.
