Edgy contemp. classical for string quartet, processing, harp, and dancers’ feet – from diverse composer/harpist Zeena Parkins. Awesome!! Ranges from frightening to ethereal to a chittering electronic forest. The first piece is a spectacular string quartet, and the second piece is freaky and cool. Try track 3 for strictly harp. FCC clean.

*1. Dissonant string quartet – mid-tempo, floating disjunct rhythm.
*2. Mic’ed dancers’ feet and plucked, scratched, pounded-on strings. Squirrely and out there.
3. Solo harp. Slow – rich beautiful broken chords, strumming, and guitar-like fingering. Ethereal and disjunct at the same time.
4. Percussive strings start. Funky overlapping melodies join briefly. Drones, dissonance, and frenetic scratching. Diverse piece.
5. Dissonant nauseating sliding, delicate plucking, fierce tremolo. At times very low-volume and almost ambient, creepy. Music for someone about to take off in an airplane, at night in the dark, terrified.
6. Starts soft and creaky. Dive bomb sounds at 50 seconds in, high pitched violence. Near silence at 1:23 left, for a few seconds, then tip-toe’ing creepiness through the end.
