I - Between Two Worlds (Nuclear Blast)
Epic and traditional yet blackened heavy metal from Norway. Features members of Immortal (most notably vocalist Abbath), Enslaved and Gorgoroth. This is strongly rooted in heavy metal and moves in a similar direction that Immortal did on their last couple of albums. You can except growly (but understandable) vocals and LOTS great riffs. A mix of Bathory, Immortal, Motorhead and Judas Priest. The band’s name is “I” as in “Ice”.

(((((1))))) Catchy as hell, Judas Priest/Motorhead/Immortal mix. Riffy and melodic.
((((2)))) Epic with classy soloing and some really good vocals.
(((3))) “Jud-jud” riffs galore, vast and open feeling. Drags on a little too long, though.
(((((4)))))) Epic and thrashing? Yep. Huge sound and totally headbangin’ high atop the 7 mountains of Bergen (Norway, that is).
((((5))))) Strummy riff that hooks you immediately. Straight ahead but enough changes to keep it interesting.
(((6))) Builds off the same riff that was in the previous song. The vocals are what makes this stand up but they could’ve doen more with the guitars.
((((7)))) Rockin’, thick, trad. heavy metal with Abbath’s signature vocals. Very nice work.
(((((8))))) A freshly defrosted 1985-metal riff that found its way in this huge-ass, awesome Bathory-ish epic.
((((9)))) Dense riffs with lots of cool harmonics and grim, Lemmy-like vocals from Mr. Abbath: “no wision, no futurrre!” Awesome he STILL has the his accent.
