Free-jazz trio of tenor sax, bass drums. Lots of "world" sounds to go along with the spirited sax twists of Kidd Jordan, with drummer Hamid Drake bringing out the hand percussion and bassist William Parker sometimes switching to African instruments or other percussion. (See 4,6). Sax is frequently "out there" and wailing. Great stuff.

Other tracks stick to more conventional free jazz: exploratory stuff with a bright feel (esp. 1,3).

Instrumental; FCC clean.

1- Bouncy danceable fun ... but only 1 minute long.
2- Slow, meditative, with brash tenor sax
3- Easygoing jazzy stroll (after a moaning, wailing intro). Fast, spastic ending.
4- A faithful African-style chant with vocal. Mid/fast but a slow, reverent feel. Speeds up at the end for a nice jam.
5- Guimbri (twangy lute) backs a hearty midtempo jam, 2 mins.
6- Cool "world" jam, laid-back but fairly fast
7- Tribal jungle pulse, slowish. Lots of gongs, and mid-level fiery sax. Gets furious later.
