Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2007-01-13
Experimental quartet, heavy in percussion and trippy volume-pedal’ed guitar work. Crashes and quiet parts, heavy and trippy at the same time. Intense drumming, rumbling bass and insane guitar. Spooky demonic understated desperate male vocalizations appear now and then. Ebbs and flows, builds and falls.

1) starts with cymbal bowing, noise, then develops into a cacophony of rumbles and crashes, about midway it quiets down and creepy vocals emerge
2) quieter, spooky, volume pedal guitar-work, bangs and crashes
3) very quiet start, slow to build to intense bursts and ebbs, creepy vocals
over quietness at end
4) strange vocalizations, oral sounds, like someone being strangled and weeping at the same time
5) vocals are decipherable, near spoken, music follows previous formulas
6) brief, soft spoken creepy poetry, quiet
7) long (20 min) track, epic, mostly slow quieter intensity, not as bashy
