Jackin’ electro and bleepy beats, mixed live from Extrema, an outdoor festival in the Netherlands. Great selection of tunes that lean toward the campy side of electro house. Energetic and thumping. Occasionally strays into “Big tune” territory. Watch the FCC on Track 21
Best tracks: 2, 4, 5. 7, 8, 11
Track 1: Short intro with vocoder
*Track 2: A Lektroluv original, one of the better tunes on the album. Excelllent!
Track 3: Standard off-the-shelf electro with campy male vox
*Track 4: Another amazing tune, this time from producer Etienne de Crecy. The song title is a curse word, but there aren’t any actual FCCs in this one
*Track 5: Superb clicky snappy bleepy business
Track 6: Rekorder (the producer of this track) is not all that well known, but delivers consistently amazing productions…check out his other stuff if you like this
***Track 7: BEST TUNE EVER. Out of print on vinyl and no digital re-release yet
**Track 8: The Cure get a white label rework from Digitalism. Nuff said. HOT!
Track 9: Very 80s
Track 10: The royalties keep rolling in for New Order. Why waste space on a 90 minute mix with something we’ve heard for decades?
*Track 11: Hands in the air anthem. Big tune & tasteful at the same time.
Track 12: Fantastic Linus Loves remix, this one originally came out on Mylo’s label
Track 13: We are officially in “Big Tune” territory now, like it or not
Track 14: Somehow you could just see a Green Velvet tune coming on this one
Track 15: Full throttle for Dr. Lektroluv.
Track 16: Minimal but still with that stompy German vibe. A bit over the top.
Track 17: Tasteful minimal techno
Track 18: Ho hum techno
Track 19: Vocal monster
Track 20: Trentemoller + Royksopp = can you get bigger & more Nordic?
Track 21: FCC! Really great tune though
Track 22: Fun and zany electro workout
