Ali Farka Toure’s son follows in his late father’s footsteps with confidence and style & manages to stay out of his shadow in the process. Wonderful guitarist/singer/composer with an African rock/blues style. Great guests (including dad and Toumani Diabate) add extra flair. All of it is good. The torch has been successfully passed.

*1. Upbeat, driving, cool. Great vox/guitar/flute/perc.
*2. Midtempo w/rich vocals, light perc.
3. Wonderful instrumental duet w/dad. Slowish, cool guitars.
4. Mid w/lazy rhythm. Cool organ/horns almost a reggae sound.
5. Upbeat & tripping w/cool flute/perc.
6. Sweet, relaxed kora/guitar instrumental duet. Really pretty.
*7. Upbeat w/snappy perc, driving guitars/vox. A cool sound.
8. Upbeat and catchy w/nice percussive accents & good vox/guitar.
*9. Midtempo African blues rock w/extra good guitar/screaming vox.
10. Kora/guitar duet. Starts slow, picks up. A tour de force for both.
