Avante upright bass playing, treatments. Experimental and often ambient, sparse with bursts. Electronic treatments are creative and cool, tasteful and subliminal, certainly not gratuitous. Acoustic only playing has an avante jazz flavor to it (this was passed on to Experimental from Jazz, crossing a very thin line in this case). For fans of Joelle Leandre, William Parker, all things creative and interesting. FCC clean, my picks: 1, 4, 9

1) slow to evolve but hits the ground with tones that sound electronic at first but then the sublte sparse contributions that follow reveal plucking, bowing
2) quiet bass bowing, looping sparse tones, sparse more ambient
3) sparse almost aquatic percussive bass tones
4) quiet bass bowing and tones turns insane and looping percussive fairly quick, wow!
5) mixure of fine pitz and bowing, cultivating tones from the upright you’ve never heard before
6) very minimal, sparse bows and pitz, creative high bowed tones
7) very minimal, quiet tones, bursting here and there
8) mostly scratchy bowed hi tones feedbacky
9) this is a long track (29 minutes) but it swirls around bows and plucks and incorporates once again awesome electronic treatments, subtle loopings and not so subtle echoes and pitch manipulations from delay twisting.
If you want to slay the audience for a half hour, drop the needle on this one
