LA female fronted band plays mature pop rock reminiscent of the best of Romeo Void, Pixies, Waitresses, Pretenders. This band has been around for a few years and previous releases have been more on the noisier side, released by the likes of Deathbomb Arc on obscure 7 inches. Their sound has definitely cleaned up, “matured” but still maintains integrity. Theres definitely an early 80’s pop sentiment about it, sometimes reminding me of Joy Division dark pop, the very first New Order recordings. Great band.

FCC clean, my picks 1, 2, 3, 7

1) the Waitresses come to mind, definitely an 80’s dance rock feel to this
2) pretty guitar melodies, Romeo Void vocal delivery and “pretty” chorus vocs
3) driving rock with a familiar classic feel to the chorus hook, “hit” quality
4) very poppy, hooky
5) very poppy sweet, jangly Pretenders’isms
6) Vocal glissandos very Chrissy Hynde
7) epic pop rock about this, simple guitar and bass melodic interactions remind me of Joy Division or the first New Order releases
