Rd Mauzy: Honeycut (Big Spoon Records) Quiet rock w/punk aesthetic. Short two song EP (#3 is a clean #1). Kinda a sentimental, like a bored teenager playing guitar in his bedroom on a lonely night. Upbeat, though, with some faux-tough/punk tendencies. FCC #1 (play #3 instead). 1) 2:27 – FCCS! Shi* twice right from the start.. Same as #3. play that one. 2) 3:12 – fun cover of a Madonna song. Up-tempo, punky, quick pop. 3) 2:27 –same as #1, but fcc clean (awkward editing…). Nostalgic bare pop song. Slow + quiet (but driving?!). Repetitive vox melody. Kinda folky in simplicity, but a little punky w/adolescent tone. Laid-back organ + staccato bass. | ||
