Noise rock, disjunct dissonant insane stuff. Buried vocals screamy and gutteral. Pounding drums, raw as fuck production. No-Wave’isms. Like James Chance and the Contortions, DNA completely overdriven through a bank of busted Fender Champs. Cathartic, purging, scream therapy on a disc. Great stuff for fans of all noise rock and disjunct crazy shit like Ex-Models, Dance Disaster Movement, The Fucking Ocean even. This band is fairly varied, so don’t judge this too much on their other releases that are often less musical, even noisier. FCC clean, my picks: 1, 2 1) bashing, disjunct, but driving noise rock, almost angular 2) slower plod, bash, builds to pounding bashing, over your skull intensity 3) disjunct and angular agai 4) brief, more no-wavey | ||
