Traditional round dance music from northern Saskatchewan & Alberta. Musically, there’s a standard format: a lead singer & chorus backed by a round of drums struck with sticks, mostly midtempo. Wild, often high-pitched wailing vocals with steady, strong rhythms. Recorded live, some with introductions by MC. Read the notes for good info on the dances. Excellent stuff! Mostly in English, no FCCs.

*6. Extra good vocals, driving beat. A love song.
7. Good blending of voices w/a solid lead.
8. Moves along nicely, MC keeps inviting dancers into the circle.
9. Lead & chorus blend well, MC comments, pounding drums.
*10. Much wailing energy & drums. A strong sound.
