A quirky mainstream session led by longtime pianist Werner. Chris Potter on sax and especially Dave Douglas on trumpet add some nice edge. Occasional computer electronics bring modern touches that really help the session progress. Slightly silly feel to many of the compositions (2,6,8); it's meant to be fun music, not serious cocktail-jazz fare. Instrumental; FCC clean.

Check out the outright experimentalism on 4 and 7.

- Playful: Slow flow w/herky-jerky lead, lush piano runs
- Bouncy piano, mid/fast and upbeat, gets grooving later
- Perky, bright. A nice straight piece.
- Scribbly trumpet. Ringing electronics sounds.
- Quiet little lullabye. Cheesy, but understand: It was written for his daughter the day she was born ... and she died just prior to the recording of this album.
- A staggering kind of funk, mid/fast
- Calmly glitchy electronics, weird trumpet
- A gloopy funk. Fun, but settles into more conventional fare
- Slow new-agey synth surges
- Quiet, crystalline (like Keith Jarrett)
