Norwegian industrial black metal. Sort of like a blackend version of Ministry or their country mates Thrones in some places the results over the course of the album are mixed but a number of the songs standout really strong. (Btw, it’s “Daud-heims-gard” translating roughly to “home of the dead”)
((((1)))) Short ambient intro
((((2)))) Blasting to steady chugging black/industrial metal sounds. Mutliple vocals and the odd metered beats are a nice touch.
(((3))) Way too many weird things happening: shouted vocals, repeated riffs along with lazers and a few decents into with some quasi-gothic vocals.
(((((4)))) Odd-paced/timed industrial claustrophic metal.
((5)) Confused mess of nu-meddle, industrial & death metal.
(6) Pointless vocal interlude- AVOID!
((7)) Jagged structure and “everything but the kitchen sink” approach which fails on impact.
((((8)))) Lots of blasts beats with a pretty strong Ministry fixation. Only problem is that this jumps around a bit too much.
((9)) Ugh! Beat focused with an annoying vocals sound not far off from a Marylin Manson outtake.
(10) Another pointless vocal interlude.
((((11)))) Fast! Sci-fi industrial/black metal. Lots of simple tremelo riffs and some nice beats & shifts.
((12)) Just completely loses ground, guitar and vocal noodling going nowhere.
(((13))) Nice mix of jackhammering drums, a bit of death/metal and shouted vocals styles.
(14) Another damn vocal interlude. Make it stop!
((15)) Slowish big modern metal sound. Not bad but it’s been done a skillion times before.
