4 tracks of various drones and waves of experimental sounds from the duo of Stephen O’ Malley (Sunn O))), Burning Witch) and Peter Rehberg (Pita). Put together really well with a pretty consistent sound. This bares repeated listens. KTL is actually an acronym for "Kindertotenlieder" German for "Songs on the Death of Children", also the name of a Gustav Mahler piece.

(((1))) Slow, minimalist ambient drone starts pretty quiet. Eventually there’s a few crests of loudness but mostly crashing down into a continual level
(((((2))))) Thudding beats leading to an incredible build up that very layered and eventually loud as fuck, hyponotic, blasting waves becoming simulatenously beautiful and haunting.
((((3)))) Washed out, continual hornet’s drone guitar played at multiple levels and tones. Often loud but occasionally restrained.
((((4))))) Nice bits of ethereal/dark ambient guitar pieces mixed with some eerie effects. Not far off from the experimental side of black metallers, Leviathan or Xasthur. Perfect for late night airplay.
