The Maggots – Monkey Time!

60’s garage rock from modern Sweden. All in English, nothing but drums, bass, guitar, farisa, and fab teenage vocals (in English). All loud and wild and simplistic and fun. What’s not to love?
No FCCs detected. Really all pretty similar, but I dig 2, 6, 9, 12.
1. 2:56 **do the maggot frug! Now do the maggot twist! Now do the maggot jerk!
2. 3:09 ***midtempo, bass and keyboard-driven teen trouble.
3. 2:33 **another jerk with gobs of teen angst.
4. 3:03 **4/4 injun beat with heartache and more angst.
5. 2:31 **more heartache and angst, but with groovy keyboards.
6. 2:18 ***gnarly drums and a tough of Cramps, freaky geeky lyrics.
7. 2:27 **hyperspeed angst with farfisa.
8. 2:39 **driving heartbreak with healthy bitchiness.
9. 3:43 ***Louie Louie and obsessiveness.
10. 2:45 **British feel, love song.
11. 1:58 **two minutes of teen dance party grooviness. Some dandy instrumental work in here.
12. 4:05 ***farfisa, another bit of Cramps, monkey rock ‘n’ reverb.
