This is a disc labelled "psych folk" but is more eclectic than psychadelic. Tracks run from even sounding like some permutation of bluegrass (2) to blues (4) to 60's pop. About half of the tracks (1, 5, 6, 8, 9) are what one might deem 'psych folk', in that they're meandering, with soft vocals, difficult lyrics, and with at least some periods of noisy soundscape. All retain at least some elements of this psych feeling, but the experimentation with other sounds keep the disc from feeling like a soupy, dreamy mess, giving it a little structure that one can follow. FCC clean. Recomend 2, 4, 7.

1. Soft, melodic male vocals, muffled by soundscapes of slow guitar and some sort of crashing cymbal-like noise; soft and meandering, with difficult lyrics

2. **Vaguely bluegrass-y quick guitar picking, with more straightforward lyrics; short interlude of scratchy, noisy guitar slide

3. soft female vocals over a world-sounding beat with bongo drums and snapping

4. ** stronger, bluesy male vocals, with beat eliciting strong feelings of 60-s era pop, ie the Zombies; blues/jazz feeling with piano and saxophone; sounds like it should be played in a smoky speakeasy

5. Dark sounding male vocals, with slow, heavy drumming

6. slow, ballad-y, with softer male vocals, piano interludes; disintegrates into chaotic random noises (maybe offkey saxophone?)

*7. slow guitar, with male vocals sounding very 60-s pop; rambly, with psychadelic undertones, i.e. Beatles, I Want You or Oh Darling!

8. Backdrop of jamming electric guitar and vocals that sound like they're far away, with slow bongo style drumming

9. Slow acoustic guitar; epic sounding because of violin interludes; rambly electric guitar comes in about halfway through

10. Faster and more upbeat than the others, drums and acoustic guitar and tambourine; interludes of kazoo-sounding noise
