Tracy Randall has a beautiful voice, with heavy beats and basslines that are sure to attract youth onto their feet. Great harmonies on many songs. Personal and transparent on this album. Unfortunately, his songs tend to lack depth, both lyrically and vocally. In short, I give this album a C+; great potential, but a potential unreached on this album. FCC Compliant. Dan's favorite tracks are: 2, 3, 4, 5
1) Intro: Song 2 remixed with a piano emphasis. Very loud instrumentation. Long intro- 1:39 total.
2) Actual Song (#1)- varying 808-type kicks, highs and lows, shakers- upbeat and funky! Pretty long, however.
3) Slow, Usher-type varied-tempo lyrics over a reflective beat. Nice bass play.
4) Slow/Med: Nice flute-type sounds, tightly-truncated high-hats, beat heavy.
5) Slow- Very nice harmonies, R&B vibe but more bluesy. Good production.
6) Med tempo: Synths, bass, e-guitars carry this song.
7) Slow/Med: Beat heavy with synths and strings, and a drumkit that complements.
8) Med: Heavy and deep kicks, strings and woodwinds- a potential club-banger.
9) Med/Fast: Nice accoustic sounds compliment this beat heavy selection. The guitar riff makes this a feel-good song.
10) Med: Bass-heavy (again), nice strings, hi-hats, and overall vibe. Contemplative, almost sad vibe.
11) Med/Fast: Song lacks luster, but you can defintely groove to the beat. A feel-good, up-tempo-happy song.
12) Slow/Med: Morracos, an accoustic guitar sound (plucked), again the bass and kick sounds carry the song. Similar to a Brent Jones type sound.
13) #5 Remixed- Crazy snares, less bass-heavy, a flute-type sound. Good vibe for the content of song.
